Shirley DunnMs. Dunn is a senior-level financial executive with extensive experience in restructuring underperforming businesses. Especially skilled in crisis management and widely recognized for her ability to stabilize troubled companies quickly, she has worked in the turnaround industry since 1991, when she first joined forces with Clyde Hamstreet. In 2000, following a merger, she became a partner at Glass & Associates, an international restructuring and crisis management firm, subsequently moving to Hamstreet & Associates in 2004.
Ms. Dunn’s expertise includes crisis cash management, cash forecasting, corporate finance, and the development and implementation of strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment. Working with clients from the early stages of stabilization throughout the restructuring process, she communicates effectively with various constituents, builds credibility, and designs strategic business plans. Her industry experience includes manufacturing, contract manufacturing, distribution, general and specialty construction, forest products, agricultural business, food processing, consulting, personnel services, and high-tech operations.
Over the past 25 years, Ms. Dunn has held numerous senior financial positions in public and private companies. She holds a number of specialized certifications, including Certified Public Accountant, Certified Turnaround Professional, and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor. She also has broad experience with successful Chapter 11 reorganizations, serving as Chief Restructuring Officer to the Debtor and Chapter 11 Trustee.
As a member of the Turnaround Management Association, Ms. Dunn recently served on the Board of Directors as a Vice President. She has been a Director of the Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals since 2003, and in 2002 presided over the Northwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. She has lectured at regional, national and international conferences on the subjects of turnaround and crisis management, insolvency, bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and valuation of distressed businesses.
Early in her career Ms. Dunn practiced for several years with Arthur Andersen & Company, having graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Portland State University.
